The Historic Holidays Scotland website has been live for a year and has been very popular with visitors reviewing the packages, content, blog posts etc but has not been as successful from selling holiday packages as anticipated. We have therefore been working with Alison to identify other potential avenues of income including a members' area, products, EBooks and 'holiday help packages'.
To help us determine what her customers wanted, Alison devised a well thought out and detailed questionnaire and survey which we published on her website and then, using Facebook Post Boosts, she encouraged her audience to complete the surveys. Many people did complete them providing some great feedback on her ideas and suggesting others, allowing her to identify new opportunities which include:
The beauty of the survey is the ideas we had for the business were confirmed by potential customers and other ideas were formed.
We are now implementing the suggestions using Alison's monthly support package and introduced 2 research packages last week:
Once published on the website, we emailed her mailing list - including the very people who filled in her survey and suggested these ideas AND that they would be interested in them. These are activities that you can do with your website and Facebook page to help you identify what your customers need allowing you to develop and introduce products or services that your customers want - a great way to delight them.
